Heidelberg CD 74:
Acquired in January 2007 this advanced press has increased production capacity while maintaining the stringent quality standards demanded. With dual UV and conventional printing capability the CD74 perfectly compliments other press capacity.
With its double coater, the CD74 offers Designers opportunities for exploiting contrasting varnish effects as well as improved metallic and flexo finishes available.

2nd Blumer Atlas Finishing Line Commissioned:
Such were the benefits of our first Atlas Line, acquired in February 2007, it quickly and inevitably lead to the commissioning of a second identical Line in January 2008.
Our continuing policy of upgrading and replacing older format punching systems has significantly enhanced our Finishing Department’s capacity with a 30% improvement in  throughput and customer service, increasing reliability and quality of supply!

Gietz FSA 870 Foil Blocking Press:
May 2008 saw the installation and commissioning of the latest version of the renowned Gietz Foil Blocking Machine, a FSA 870. This maintains our foil blocking complement at five presses, probably the largest capacity in the UK within our particular market sector and has the capability of doubling existing running speeds, further increases foiling capacity.

Promotional Neck Collarettes have always been a specialty of Gilmour & Dean but demand increased to initiate the launch of a standard range of sizes to suit the most popular bottle neck and shoulder profiles with sufficient surface area to help make a success of any Sales Promotion.
